About: Selection Process

Each programme has a robust and entirely independent selection process which seeks the opinions of experts and thousands of individuals. Brand selection is independently administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis. Full details (and this year's results) are available below.


Superbrands

Launch date: July 2008

The final ranking of the 2008/09 consumer Superbrands was determined by a nationally representative sample of over 2,200 consumers. Full details are available below.

Business Superbrands

Current programme: 2009
Launch date: February 2009

The UK's strongest B2B brands for 2009 were selected by the Business Superbrands Council and thousands of individual business professionals on the YouGov panel. Full details of the process, the Council, and the official results are available here.

CoolBrands

Current programme: 2008/09
Launch date: September 2008

The opinion of the Expert Council contributed 70% of the weighting towards the official 2008/09 list. The balance of opinion was determined by over 2,500 individual consumers accessed via a YouGov panel.
